We make things that little bit easier for families by offering an All Inclusive Package – all nappies, wipes, meals and activities are included in our fees with no additional fees.
Children of all ages love our yoga sessions held each Monday. Children learn about physical activity, turn taking and participation whilst having lots of fun.
Our Holiday Club runs during every school holiday, and we invite children from any and all schools to attend! We care for children from 5 to 11 years of age. We have an on-site Chef who provides our Holiday Club children with meals and snacks throughout the day.
Physical Development Stars
We champion physical development here at Holyrood Bury and have a dedicated Physical development Star who leads in this area. We have recently developed a physical development room, where children are encouraged to get active. We will be introducing Yoga class soon to compliment children’s development.
We are lucky to have bi-lingual staff who can support children in their first language and exploring new languages. It helps children to settle great into the nursery and provides opportunities to celebrate children’s cultures and heritage. Here at Holyrood Nursery Bury we have staff that are fluent in Urdu, Punjabi, Mirpuri, Bengali, Farsi, Arabic, Lithuanian, Oromo, Portuguese, Pushto, Persian, English and French.
Eco Schools is the largest sustainable schools programme in the world and is designed to encourage action on sustainable development education issues. Our children love getting involved in their Eco Schools projects and learning about how to help protect the environment.
Our nursery enjoys great ties with our local community and we are often out and about visiting local sights and getting involved in events. Our older children will often visit the local park or be out exploring the opportunities in the local area, where our youngest children are often seen out in double buggies enjoying fresh air whilst taking in the sights, sounds and smells of the community.
Taking part in fundraising activities helps children to learn about others that are less fortunate than themselves and understand how we can help them. Fundraising events are good fun and are a great way to get children, families and communities together. We are currently fundraising for Manchester Children’s Hospital.
We celebrate Christmas by putting on a wonderful Christmas show for friends and family each year. There’s always much excitement in preparing for the show as we learn songs and organise our special event.
In recognition that education begins in the home, we are fully committed to a partnership approach with parents. Parents are kept up to date with monthly newsletters, parent focus groups and parent’s evenings. Parents are also able to keep up to date with activities going on in the nursery by following our social media accounts; Bury Facebook and Holyrood Group Twitter.
Settling in Sessions
Our nursery offers settling in sessions. Parents can bring their child for a couple of hours first, gradually introducing the child to a new environment. Settling in sessions are aimed at helping your child to adapt to their new surroundings and become more familiar with the staff and other children.
Our nursery encourages children to celebrate festivals throughout the year. This is one of the best ways for children to learn about different religions and cultures by celebrating various world religious festivals, food tasting from different countries, and dressing up in the national dress of their friends.
We celebrate the big move to primary school with a special graduation ceremony each year—caps, gowns, the works!
We accept your courier deliveries to make things that little bit easier for busy mums and dads.
